Nearly 1,500 people enjoyed Taste of the Wasatch this year at Solitude Mountain Resort. Chef’s Vance Lott and Kris Ricks from Communal Restaurant, Stephen Lott from Pizzeria 712 and Ryan Peterson, restaurant manager, enjoyed serving attendees fresh and of course local corn on the cob with a shallot compound butter and parsley as well as white wine poached local peaches with Amarena Cherry Vinegar.
Attendees receive a plate and a wine glass and enjoy walking in the fresh mountain air while tasting various dishes from some of the finest restaurants in Utah.
“I loved Taste of the Wasatch. We are one of the only restaurants in the valley there and I really loved showing SLC who we are and what we are about. Multiple times people came to our booth to tell us that they’ve heard of Heirloom or that they even come down to our restaurants once a month. It’s awesome having supporters all the way up in SLC.”

You’ve worked hard this week, come treat yourself to a Saturday morning breakfast of sweet treats at Communal. This giant orange roll is made from scratch each Saturday and is finished off with thick cream cheese frosting and a sprinkling of sugar. The fruit, greek yogurt and granola parfait features local in-season berries, only the best yogurt and our house-made granola for the perfect combination of sweet, tart, crunchy and savory.
