Communal Falafel for Lunch Today!

A current crowd favorite feature on the Communal lunch menu is falafel.  The amazing crunch and complex flavors paired with the cumin greek yogurt and pickled cucumber make this starter something special!  As fair warning, once you’ve tasted this you’ll be craving it regularly.

Some Cool Utah Valley Happenings this Weekend!

If you’re looking for a unique entertainment option for this weekend, we’ve spotted a few interesting events around the valley.

Friday, Sept. 30, the Downtown Business Alliance is hosting Game Night in Provo at Tabernacle Park.  You can take part in a death-match Bocce tournament which begins at 6:30 pm.  Teams of two can sign up in advance with Tables will be set up with board games to play or bring your own.  Prizes, prizes, prizes!  This Friday will be a great time to come downtown, enjoy the variety of local dining choices and entertainment found in the Historic Downtown Provo District!

In Orem, catch the UVU presentation of Othello, running through October 1.

Of course,  BYU  battles Utah St. on Friday, 6:00pm, at LaVell  Edwards Stadium so plan for game traffic as you launch your Friday night.

For your information,  the Thanksgiving Point Farmer’s Market will close out it’s season this Friday night.

Pork Sliders For Lunch!

These pork sliders on the Communal lunch menu feature braised bbq pork belly, house baked bun and slaw .  Many guests have said this bbq sauce is the absolute best they’ve had.  You really do need to stop by Communal for lunch soon!

Corn Fritters For Lunch!

With the season’s harvest comes a wealth of possible ways to enjoy the many fresh ingredients delivered to our kitchens.  While creating our summer lunch menu Ethan Kawasaki, Executive Chef at Communal, developed a scrumptious dish of corn fritters served with Tapatio creme fraiche that will knock the socks off any corn lover … well anyone actually. Enjoy these sweet corn clouds with a bowl of soup, a salad or as a starter in front of one of our signature sandwiches.  You absolutely MUST make it in to Communal for lunch while the corn picking is good!

Communal Lunch is Served:

Tuesday – Friday 11:30 am to 2:30 pm

Have You Visited Wilkerson Organic Farms?

Although they are well into their second year of farming, we’d like to give our welcome to Richard Wilkerson and family and encourage you to stop by their farmstand to pick up some of their produce.  We visited late last week and were amazed at the variety of organic fruits, vegetables and herbs available for purchase at their stand.  As you visit you can expect to see new selections hauled in directly from the surrounding fields.

Last year the farm sold their produce from a mobile stand on Geneva Rd. but this year they have a permanent roadside stand on 2000 S, Orem, between Sandhill Rd. and Geneva Rd.

If you are looking for produce be sure to plan a trip over this week!

Just Two More Days Left To Reserve Your Spot For Instructional Dinner!

That’s right! Taylor is wandering the gardens of our local purveyors as we write this message. The menu ideas are developing as he samples the produce and herbs in the fields.
